Vancouver is holding two open houses to hear your thoughts on billboards and electronic signs.

The city of Vancouver will hold two open houses so residents can offer their thoughts on how they feel about billboards and electronic signage in the city.

Billboards, advertising signs, and electronic signage will be the focus of the city’s Phase 2 of its sign bylaw review.

The first open house will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. and the second one will be on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. Both events will be held at CityLab at 511 West Broadway.

An online survey will also be available at starting Nov. 22.

The first phase of the review was approved in 2017 and led to new regulations for business signage.

Phase 2 examines billboards, advertising signs and electronic signage as Vancouver’s sign regulations do not reflect changing technology or broader opportunities for community benefits such as airtime for public art, Amber Alerts, or to support arts, culture, and community events, the city said in a news release Wednesday.
